Shoe Screening You are required to remove your shoes and place them into a bin to be viewed by the X-ray machine.
Gel shoe inserts are not permitted, but shoes constructed with gel heels are allowed and must be removed and screened.
Please minimize the metal you wear. Big belt buckles, clothing with studs or metal buttons, lots of jewelry, and metal in the toes or heels of some footwear can set off security checkpoint metal detectors. This will require additional searches, slowing you and other travelers down. It is best to place jewelry and other metal items in your carry-on baggage until you clear security.
Outer Coats If you choose to wear an outer coat to the checkpoint, it will need to be placed in your carry-on baggage or into a bin for the X-ray machine. You will not need to remove suit jackets or blazers unless requested by the screener.
