The security checkpoints at Portland International Airport (PDX) are operated and managed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
When flying from PDX, all passengers must present security checkpoint staff with an airline-issued boarding pass, and passengers age 18 or older must present government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport.
A boarding pass may be obtained at one of the following locations:
You have a choice between the north and south security checkpoints – regardless of where your flight departs. The Concourse Connector joins all the PDX concourses and allows you to select the shortest security line.
Please visit the "Travel Tips - Attire" page for more information about tips that will help speed you through the security checkpoints.
Express Lanes If you are escorting a traveler with special needs (such as a child flying alone), or if you are a mileage program card holder or are traveling from Portland to Seattle, express lanes are available to get through security checkpoints a little faster.
To use the security checkpoint express lanes, bring your gate pass obtained from your airline's ticket counter (see "Travel Tips - Special Needs"), mileage program card, or proof of travel from Portland to Seattle. Eligible mileage program cards are listed below.
